Why can't I open my Cognos impromptu report ?

  1. You have not opened the right catalog. > Close the report and the catalog. Open the catalog and make sure the right catalog is selected. Then open the report again.
  2. The catalog is corrupted. > Re-do the catalog; check if there is any other catalog that you can use; check if you have a backup.
  3. The catalog is at a different location. > See 1.
